Proclamation – Declaration of a Local Disaster Emergency

Dear Aliquippa Residents:

Due to the weather conditions, Waste Management is unable to service about 300 stops on Wednesday’s regular route in Aliquippa. They will be out working the rest of the week to recover the streets they were unable to travel today and yesterday.  Please leave your trash out until they can safely service it. We appreciate your understanding and patience during these dangerous winter weather conditions.  Thank you.

Due to the snow storm, Waste Management was closed on Monday, January 26, 2026, Trash Service in Aliquippa will be 1 day behind this week. If they do not get to you on your service day, Please leave it out and WM will collect it as soon as they can safely do so! We appreciate your patience and understanding.

PROPOSED ORDINANCE & PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE

The City Council of the City of Aliquippa will consider adoption of proposed Ordinance, 2 of 2025 on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at their regular City Council meeting at 7:00 PM.

“AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A FEE FOR STORMWATER MANAGEMENT”

There will be a public meeting for residents’ comments to be heard by City Council prior to the meeting on October 1, 2025, at 6:30 PM

A complete, true and correct copy of the proposed ordinance is on file at the City Building, 581 Franklin Avenue, Aliquippa, PA and may be examined by members of public during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
